We see driven and focused student in Vedanta Academy Secondary School, yet students who still have compassion and understanding for their peers as well as younger students in the school. With a structured learning program and a relaxed atmosphere students lose the stress of the education process, replacing it with an understanding of it. This comes as we demystify education for students and teach learning strategies, study strategies, organizational strategies, writing strategies and critical thinking strategies. In short students get the tools they need for the current and real world, whether that is continued education, apprenticeship, the workplace or world travel.

In Grades 10 to 12 under the new graduation program everything counts toward the final Grade Point Average so the student incentive to do well has to come earlier. Instead of getting lost or overwhelmed, our secondary students move forward with confidence in themselves and in their teachers. Glaring positive comments from Secondary Students about Vedanta Academy are, "I like my teachers" or "When I need help the teachers are their for me", or "I like the small classes because I can learn easier".

In Vedanta Secondary School we offer a range of subjects to please the driven academic, the business mind, the arts bent, the performer, the technologist and the creator. Our students normally graduate with more than the required Ministry minimum credits, which places them high on the lists when applying for post secondary education or skills training. To date all of our graduates have been able to go on to their first choice in post secondary training. A list of available Secondary School Courses is below

In addition to mainstream courses we offer the Duke of Edinburgh Awards program where students can earn Secondary credits while gaining the three levels of the prestigious award in areas of outdoor expedition/adventure, physical recreation, skills and service. The program dovetails nicely with the Planning 10 and Portfolio 12 programs

We also offer and encourage Secondary School Apprenticeships and Work Experience courses.

We try wherever possible to take Secondary Students out into the community at large for exposure and experience in a variety of areas. Often these are organized field trips through our science, media, law, criminology , performance, socials and art programs.
